At the heart of Jungian analytical psychology is the concept of a dynamic self with its own motives which may or may not be in line with the will of the ego. The process by which the self gives expression to these motives and attempts to realise its potential Jung called individuation. It is the means by which we attempt to discover meaning in life, develop a sense of ourselves and become who we really are. I hope to explore these ideas with you and apply them to both clinical work and everyday life.
Martin Schmidt is a Jungian analyst, a Professional Member of The SAP and a psychologist. He lectures and supervises widely on The SAP, BAP and LCP trainings and on the postgraduate arts therapies trainings at the Universities of Hertfordshire and Roehampton. For five years he was a visiting supervisor on the IAAP training in Moscow.
