Exploring Jungian Concepts

The group will explore key Jungian concepts through a presentation of material and the reading of relevant Jungian writings. Reading material will be provided. The course will be appropriate both for those who are new to Jungian thought and those who have attended previous introductory courses.

Term 1 (October - December 2008)

7 October          Jung's Analytical Psychology
21 October        Jung and Psychotherapy
4 November      The Psyche, Conscious and Unconscious
18 November    Individuation and Psychic Growth
2 December      Jungian Approaches to Relationships


Term 2 (January to March 2009)

Topics for the second term will be agreed depending on the interests of course members. Subjects may include Transference and countertransference, Jung and alchemy, Jungian attitudes to religion, Dreams and dreaming, Post-Jungian views of development, Symbols and symbolisation.


Venue: The Friends Meeting House, 43 St. Giles, Oxford, OX1 3LW or North Oxford (depending on numbers)
