“For what is the body? The body is merely the visibility of the soul, the psyche; and the soul is the psychological experience of the body. So it is really one and the same thing...Soul and body are not two things, they are one.” (Zarathrustra, 354.55)
In this workshop we will introduce BodySoul work developed by Jungian Analyst, Marion Woodman and her colleagues – Voice specialist Ann Skinner and Movement specialist, Mary Hamilton.
It provides a safe, structured, non-judgmental container in which it is possible to connect with dreams and the archetypal energies arising from them, so that they become fully embodied. The BodySoul approach is deeply integrative, linking left and right brain processes. We will use body, voice and art work to bring in a right brain approach to working with our dream images – allowing the soul/psyche to reveal itself safely in the exploration.
“This is your body, your precious gift –
Pregnant with wisdom you do not hear
Grief you thought you had forgotten
And Joy you have never known”
(Marion Woodman)
