Our reading will be the entire (short) book, Building out into the Dark by Robert Caper. (2009, Routledge, London). I suggest that if possible you read the entire book before the seminars rather than dividing it up each week.
You will see that Caper expresses beautifully a philosophy of the psychoanalytic method and attitude as they have evolved at present for many analysts. I hope you will approach his ideas with a critical mind and be prepared to think about and to share your own case material in the seminars.
