The training is informed by Jungian and Post-Jungian theory and practice and there is an emphasis on contemporary themes and ideas that are relevant to the provision of analytically informed treatments in a variety of clinical settings. The course also draws on recent research into clinical methods and development in related disciplines such as child development, attachment theory and neuroscience.
This training has several entry points, including the Society’s popular long-running Foundations in Analytical Psychology course and will also give trainees the opportunity to join the SAP Adult Analytic training using the SAP Escalator Model.
Those begining their training with the Foundations Course will need to start twice weekly personal therapy at least a year before beginning training modules.
Note: We suggest that you start with a professional member/training analyst if you plan to continue onto the adult analytic training through the escalator model, in order to meet the requirements of the adult analytic training. Informal interviews to discuss aspects of the training can be arranged through the Education & Training Administrator.
